Governance

The BLA is a registered charity in the UK. The Association's objectives and rules of the society are laid out in its constitution.

The BLA Council comprises between 12 – 16 members. 

The principal roles of the Council are to:

  • develop the mission and vision of the BLA
  • strategically plan to secure the financial future of the BLA
  • raise awareness of issues related to laryngology and build public understanding of the specialism
  • manage the Council and the business of the BLA effectively, and
  • develop research strategy in laryngology and related disciplines.
